EARLY YEARS

Amir was born and raised on the West Side of Syracuse, New York. By age 7, he was boxing at the West Area Athletic & Education Center with the legendary Ray Rinaldi and his nephew Chris Burns. By age 10, Amir was fighting competitively in the amateur ranks. Despite several early losses, Amir fell in love with the sport and committed full time at age 12.

TEAM USA

Between 2017 and 2022, Amir won eight national championships, and became a member of Team USA’s Elite Male High Performance Team in the 156 lb division at age 18, after winning the 2022 USA Boxing Elite National Championships. Amir would go on to win the 2023 National Golden Gloves Championship at 165 lbs, and the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials at 176 lbs. In April 2024, Amir won the 2024 International Invitational, finishing his amateur career as the top ranked U.S. male in his weight class.

PROFESSIONAL BOXING

In June 2024, Amir signed a promotional agreement with Misfits Boxing and partner Wasserman Boxing, becoming the first Misfits Pro signee. Amir made his pro debut on August 10, 2024, winning by TKO in Round 3. His announcement video has over 4.5M Instagram views.
